ABOUT

The Streets new album 'The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light', comes exclusively pressed to zoetrope picture disc, limited to 1,000 copies and hand-numbered to order.

The album is a classic Streets album - filled with Skinner’s trademark lyrical wizardry and beats honed over a decade of building his other career as a legitimate bass/rap DJ in clubs - all songs written by Skinner but featuring vocal contributions from longtime collaborators Kevin Mark Trail and Robert Harvey, as well as a track featuring Teef. The zoetrope features clips from the forthcoming feature film written and directed by Mike Skinner.

** Images and videos are representative of the finished product. Zoetrope animations require specific viewing conditions, and the animated effects shown in videos may not be visible to the naked eye. Please refer to the viewing tips below for guidance.

——————————————————————-

How To View: To get the most out of your zoetrope and see the animated effects, try one of the methods below.

For the clearest results, use bright, even lighting and keep your camera steady above the record. If using strobe effects, please be mindful of anyone nearby who may be sensitive to flashing lights.

  • View or record the animation through your phone camera, with the frame rate set to 30 or 60 FPS.
  • Use a zoetrope or strobe-light app.
  • Use an adjustable LED strobe light to view the animation with the naked eye.

——————————————————————-

Please note: Due to the way picture discs (including zoetropes) are manufactured, they can produce slightly more surface noise during playback than traditional vinyl, particularly during quieter moments. This is a well-known characteristic of the format and isn't unique to our pressings.
