Shipping & Returns (NEW)

SHIPPING & RETURNS

Last updated: 20 August 2026

This policy explains how Blood Records Limited ("Blood Records", "we", "us" or "our") handles fulfilment, shipping, delivery, cancellations, returns, damaged products, replacements and refunds.

It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.

1. Fulfilment

To provide our customers with an efficient and reliable fulfilment and delivery service, Blood Records works with a specialist UK-based fulfilment partner to store, pick, pack and dispatch orders on our behalf.

Blood Records Limited remains the retailer responsible for your order, and your contract for products purchased through blood-records.co.uk is with Blood Records Limited.

Orders are dispatched from our fulfilment partner's UK warehouse using the delivery services described in this policy.

2. Pre-Orders

Many Blood Records releases are sold before manufacture has been completed or before their official release date.

Any release or dispatch date shown on our website is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise.

Vinyl manufacturing and release schedules can change due to manufacturing delays, quality-control issues, artist or label decisions, supply-chain disruption and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If a release date changes, your order will remain active and will be dispatched once stock becomes available unless the order is otherwise cancelled in accordance with our Terms & Conditions and applicable law.

3. UK Shipping

UK orders are dispatched using Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Royal Mail's usual delivery aim for this service is approximately 2–3 working days after dispatch. This is an estimated timeframe and is not guaranteed.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will normally receive tracking information enabling you to follow its progress.

4. International Shipping

International orders are dispatched using tracked delivery services.

Depending on the destination, your parcel may be transferred to a local postal or courier service for final delivery.

Delivery times vary according to destination and may be affected by customs clearance, local postal networks and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Tracking information will normally be provided following dispatch.

5. Shipping Charges

Available shipping services and charges are displayed during checkout before you place your order.

Charges may vary according to destination, parcel weight and dimensions, order value and other fulfilment requirements.

6. Delivery Address

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address when placing your order.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you identify an error.

We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has entered fulfilment and may be unable to redirect an order once it has been dispatched.

7. Customs, VAT and Import Charges

International orders may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, clearance charges or other fees imposed by the destination country.

Where applicable taxes or duties are collected by Blood Records at checkout, this will be reflected in the amount you pay.

Where charges have not been collected by us, the recipient may be responsible for paying them to the relevant authority, postal operator or courier.

Blood Records does not control charges independently imposed by overseas customs or tax authorities.

Customers are responsible for complying with applicable import restrictions and requirements in their destination country.

8. Tracking

Where tracking is available, tracking information will normally be sent after your order has been dispatched.

Tracking updates are provided by the relevant delivery provider and may take some time to update following dispatch.

For international deliveries, tracking may transfer to the website or system of a local delivery provider once the parcel reaches its destination country.

9. Delayed or Missing UK Orders

Royal Mail Tracked 48 normally aims to deliver within approximately 2–3 working days after dispatch, but this timeframe is not guaranteed.

If tracking shows that your order has been dispatched but it has not arrived, please allow 15 business days for UK delivery before treating the parcel as missing.

If your order has still not arrived after this period, contact info@blood-records.co.uk.

Please include your order number, the email address used to place the order and your tracking number where available.

We or our fulfilment partner will investigate the delivery with Royal Mail where appropriate.

10. Delayed or Missing International Orders

International delivery times vary considerably by destination.

If your order appears delayed, please check the tracking information provided, including any tracking provided by the local delivery service in the destination country.

If your parcel remains significantly overdue or tracking indicates a problem, contact info@blood-records.co.uk and we will investigate where appropriate.

11. Before Reporting an Order Missing

Before contacting us about a missing delivery, please check:

  • the tracking information and any delivery photograph;
  • around the delivery location and any nominated safe place;
  • with other members of your household;
  • with neighbours;
  • with reception or building staff where relevant; and
  • with the relevant delivery office where tracking directs you to do so.

12. Our 30-Day Returns Policy

In addition to your statutory rights, you may request a return of a qualifying product within 30 days of receipt.

To request a return, email info@blood-records.co.uk.

Please provide your order number and details of the product you wish to return.

Please do not return products until your return has been approved and you have received return instructions.

Unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or we state otherwise, you are responsible for the cost of returning the product.

We recommend using a reliable postal service and retaining proof of postage.

Products remain your responsibility until received at the return location.

Repeated or abusive use of our discretionary 30-day returns policy may result in restrictions as described below. This does not affect your statutory rights.

13. UK & EU Right to Cancel / Withdraw

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or European Union purchasing goods online, you will normally have a statutory right to cancel or withdraw from your contract without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

If goods from the same order are delivered separately, the applicable period will normally begin when you, or a person nominated by you, receives the final item.

To exercise your right to cancel or withdraw, you must clearly inform us of your decision before the applicable 14-day period expires.

You can do this by emailing: info@blood-records.co.uk

Please include your name, order number and sufficient information for us to identify the order.

EU consumers may use the Model Withdrawal Form provided at the end of this policy (see section 25), but you are not required to use it. A clear statement informing us of your decision to withdraw is sufficient.

After notifying us, you must normally return the goods within 14 days.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, or applicable law provides otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

Where you validly exercise a statutory right to cancel or withdraw, we will refund the payments required by applicable law, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option where applicable.

If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional amount above the cost of our standard delivery option.

Where permitted by law, we may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you provide evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will normally be made using the payment method originally used for the purchase.

14. Sealed Vinyl and Other Audio Recordings

The statutory change-of-mind right to cancel or withdraw does not apply to sealed audio recordings once they have been unsealed after delivery, where the applicable statutory exception applies.

This includes sealed vinyl records.

Opening a sealed record may therefore affect your right to return it simply because you have changed your mind.

This does not affect your rights where the product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

15. Condition of Returns

For change-of-mind returns, products should be returned in an appropriate condition with any components, inserts, accessories or other items supplied with them.

You may handle goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Where handling goes beyond what would reasonably be necessary and reduces the value of the goods, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.

16. Return Postage

Unless a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or we have expressly agreed otherwise, the cost of returning a change-of-mind or discretionary return is your responsibility.

If we require a faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied product to be returned, we will provide appropriate return instructions.

17. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Products

If your product arrives damaged, is faulty or you receive the wrong product, please contact:

info@blood-records.co.uk

We ask that problems are reported within 30 days of receipt wherever reasonably possible so that we can investigate and resolve them promptly.

Please provide:

  • your order number;
  • a description of the problem; and
  • clear photographs or video showing the damage, defect or incorrect product where appropriate.

Our request that issues are reported within 30 days does not limit statutory rights that may apply after this period.

18. Replacements

Where only part of a product is damaged or defective, we will normally seek to replace the affected component where doing so provides an appropriate remedy.

Depending on the product and issue, this may include replacement of:

  • the vinyl record;
  • outer sleeve;
  • inner sleeve;
  • insert; or
  • another affected component.

This allows us to resolve problems while preserving limited-edition replacement stock wherever possible.

Where an appropriate replacement is unavailable due to limited stock, we will offer another appropriate remedy, which may include a refund.

Nothing in this section limits any remedy to which you are entitled under applicable consumer law.

19. Vinyl Manufacturing Variations

Vinyl records are manufactured physical products and individual copies may vary.

This is particularly true of coloured-vinyl techniques including splatter, marble, smoke, colour-in-colour and other mixed or randomised effects.

The exact appearance of your record may therefore differ from product photography, digital renders or other copies of the same release.

Minor cosmetic variations inherent to the manufacturing process are not necessarily defects.

This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged or materially different from its description.

20. Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be made using the payment method originally used for the purchase.

For valid statutory cancellations or withdrawals involving returned goods, we will issue the refund within the timeframe required by applicable law.

This will normally be within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.

Once we have processed a refund, your bank or payment provider may require additional time for the funds to appear in your account.

21. Original Delivery Charges

Where required by law following a valid statutory cancellation or withdrawal, we will refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery method.

If you selected a more expensive or premium delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional amount paid above the standard delivery cost.

22. Orders Returned to Sender

A parcel may be returned to our fulfilment partner because:

  • the delivery address was incorrect or incomplete;
  • delivery was refused;
  • the recipient could not be located;
  • the parcel was not collected; or
  • the delivery provider was otherwise unable to complete delivery.

If this occurs, please contact us.

Where failed delivery results from incorrect information supplied by the customer or failure to collect the parcel, we may require payment of reasonable additional shipping costs before resending the order.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

23. Repeated or Abusive Returns

Our 30-day returns policy provides additional flexibility beyond your statutory rights.

We reserve the right to review customer accounts where we identify unusually frequent, excessive or potentially abusive use of our discretionary returns arrangements.

Where reasonably appropriate, we may restrict discretionary returns or future purchasing.

We may also take action where we reasonably believe products are being repeatedly ordered without a genuine intention to retain them.

We will not use this provision to restrict statutory consumer rights, including rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-conforming goods.

24. Processing and Restocking Costs

Processing returns creates payment-processing, administration, handling and fulfilment costs.

We reserve the right to apply a reasonable processing or restocking charge to discretionary returns or cancellations only where the charge has been clearly communicated to you before it becomes applicable and where permitted by law.

We will not deduct a processing or restocking charge where doing so would reduce or interfere with a statutory refund or other consumer right.

Any applicable charge will be communicated before it is applied.

25. Model Withdrawal Form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from your contract.
