1. About Us
This website is operated by Blood Records Limited ("Blood Records", "we", "us" or "our").
Blood Records Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 11490928.
Our registered office is:
Blood Records Limited
1 Lucas Bridge Business Park
Old Greens Norton Road
Towcester
Northants
England
NN12 8AX
Our website is blood-records.co.uk (the "Site").
You can contact us at info@blood-records.co.uk.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Site and to products purchased from Blood Records.
Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. By accessing the Site or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Shipping & Returns Policy.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Our Store
Our online store is powered by Shopify.
Blood Records is the retailer responsible for products purchased through blood-records.co.uk.
To provide our customers with an efficient and reliable fulfilment service, we work with a specialist UK-based fulfilment partner to store, pick, pack and dispatch orders on our behalf.
Blood Records Limited remains independently operated and remains responsible for your contract, your order and the customer relationship.
3. Using Our Site
You may use our Site only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- use the Site for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Site;
- introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful technology;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, customer accounts or connected systems;
- use bots, scripts or other automated purchasing methods designed to circumvent purchase restrictions or other controls;
- create or use multiple accounts, identities, addresses or payment methods for the purpose of circumventing purchase restrictions; or
- otherwise misuse our Services.
We may restrict access to the Site or customer accounts where reasonably necessary to protect Blood Records, our customers, our products or our systems.
4. Products
Blood Records specialises in limited-edition physical music products, particularly vinyl records.
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, prices, photographs and other information displayed on our Site are accurate.
However, product images may include digital renders, mock-ups or pre-production samples.
The packaging, colour and appearance of the product you receive may therefore vary slightly from images displayed on our Site or in our marketing.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to your contract with us.
5. Vinyl Manufacturing Variations
Vinyl is a physical manufactured product and variations between individual records are normal.
This is particularly the case with effects such as:
- splatter;
- marble;
- smoke;
- colour-in-colour;
- mixed-colour vinyl;
- picture discs; and
- other randomised or semi-random pressing techniques.
Colour distribution, pattern, opacity and other visual characteristics may therefore differ between individual copies and from the product imagery shown on our Site.
Minor variations inherent to the manufacturing or printing process do not necessarily constitute a fault.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged or materially different from its description.
6. Limited Editions
Many Blood Records releases are produced in strictly limited quantities.
Any pressing quantity stated on a product page represents the intended edition or production quantity.
Manufacturing tolerances, quality-control requirements, replacements, production overruns or other manufacturing circumstances may occasionally result in minor differences between the intended and final number of manufactured units.
Products are offered subject to availability.
Adding a product to your basket does not reserve it.
7. Purchase Limits
We may impose maximum purchase quantities on products, particularly limited-edition releases.
Purchase limits may apply per:
- person;
- customer account;
- household;
- billing or delivery address;
- payment method; or
- other reasonably identifiable customer relationship.
You must not attempt to circumvent these limits by placing multiple orders or using multiple accounts, identities, addresses or payment methods.
We reserve the right to reduce or cancel orders that breach, or which we reasonably believe are intended to circumvent, a stated purchase limit.
8. Personal Use and Resale
Blood Records products are sold primarily for the personal use and enjoyment of our customers.
Limited-edition products must not be purchased primarily for commercial or speculative resale.
We reserve the right to cancel an order where we reasonably believe products are being purchased primarily for prohibited commercial resale or where purchasing behaviour is intended to circumvent our purchase limits.
We may consider factors including connected accounts, addresses, payment details, order patterns and publicly advertised resale listings where reasonably relevant.
Where we identify repeated or systematic abuse of our purchase limits or resale policy, we may cancel orders or restrict future purchases.
Nothing in this section prevents a customer from legitimately selling, gifting or otherwise disposing of a product that they own.
9. Placing an Order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products contained in that order.
After placing an order, you will normally receive an email acknowledging receipt.
An order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that we have accepted your order.
A contract between you and Blood Records is formed when your order is accepted by us.
We may reject or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- a product is unexpectedly unavailable;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- the product or price was displayed incorrectly;
- we suspect fraud or unauthorised payment activity;
- the order exceeds a stated purchase limit;
- we reasonably believe the order is intended for prohibited commercial resale;
- an attempt has been made to circumvent purchasing restrictions;
- we cannot deliver to the destination provided;
- a technical error has affected the order; or
- we are otherwise unable lawfully or reasonably to fulfil the order.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled products.
10. Prices
Product prices are displayed on the Site in the applicable currency.
Applicable taxes, delivery charges and other costs will be shown during checkout as required.
We may change prices at any time. Price changes will not normally affect orders that have already been accepted.
Despite our reasonable efforts, a product may occasionally be incorrectly priced.
Where there is an obvious pricing error, we may cancel the affected order and refund any payment made or give you the opportunity to purchase the product at the correct price.
11. Payment
We accept the payment methods made available during checkout.
These may include major credit and debit cards, digital wallets and local payment methods.
Payment services are provided through Shopify and/or applicable third-party payment providers.
By providing payment information, you confirm that you are authorised to use the relevant payment method.
12. Pre-Orders
Many Blood Records releases are offered for sale before manufacture has been completed or before their official release date.
Release, manufacture and dispatch dates displayed for pre-orders are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.
Vinyl manufacturing and release schedules can change for reasons outside our reasonable control, including:
- manufacturing delays;
- quality-control issues;
- artist or label decisions;
- changes to release schedules;
- supply-chain disruption; and
- transportation delays.
If a release is delayed, your order will remain active unless it is cancelled by you or us in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
We will dispatch the product as soon as reasonably practicable after stock becomes available.
13. Shipping and Delivery
Our Shipping & Returns Policy contains detailed information about fulfilment, delivery, international orders, returns and refunds and forms part of these Terms.
UK orders are dispatched from our fulfilment partner's UK warehouse using Royal Mail Tracked 48.
International orders are dispatched using tracked services and may be handed to a local postal or courier service in the destination country for final delivery.
14. Cancellation Rights
Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right to change their mind.
For UK consumers, this will normally be a period of 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to statutory exclusions.
In addition to these statutory rights, Blood Records operates the returns arrangements described in our Shipping & Returns Policy.
For sealed audio recordings, including vinyl records, the statutory right to cancel may cease once the product has been unsealed.
This does not affect your rights where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
15. Returns, Replacements and Refunds
Our Shipping & Returns Policy explains:
- our 30-day return-request period;
- statutory cancellation rights;
- return postage;
- damaged or defective products;
- replacement components;
- missing or incorrect orders;
- refunds; and
- repeated or abusive returns.
Nothing in that policy or these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
16. Customer Accounts
You may be able to create and use a customer account through our Site.
You are responsible for providing accurate information and taking reasonable steps to keep your account secure.
Please contact us if you believe somebody has obtained unauthorised access to your account.
We may restrict or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to protect against fraud, abuse, security threats or repeated breaches of these Terms.
17. Product Safety
Blood Records takes reasonable steps to ensure that products offered through our Site comply with applicable product-safety requirements.
Where required, relevant manufacturer, importer, responsible-person or other economic-operator information will be provided with the product, its packaging and/or product listing in accordance with applicable law.
If you have a safety concern relating to a product purchased from Blood Records, please contact:
Please include your order number, the product concerned and details of the issue.
We may request photographs or other information reasonably required to investigate the concern.
18. EU General Product Safety Regulation
For products offered to consumers in the European Union, we will provide information required under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR) where applicable.
This may include information identifying the manufacturer and, where the manufacturer is not established in the European Union, the relevant EU-established responsible economic operator.
The appropriate responsible-person or economic-operator details may differ according to the product and will therefore be displayed with the relevant product information where required rather than relying solely on this page.
Product-safety enquiries can be sent to info@blood-records.co.uk.
19. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Site and its original content, design, text, graphics and Blood Records branding are owned by or licensed to Blood Records.
Artist names, artwork, photography, record-label branding and other third-party intellectual property remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used under licence or other appropriate authorisation where applicable.
You may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit Site content without the permission of the relevant rights holder.
20. Third-Party Services and Links
Our Site may use or contain links to services operated by third parties.
We are not responsible for the content or availability of websites we do not operate.
Your use of third-party websites or services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
21. Errors and Inaccuracies
We take reasonable care to ensure that information on our Site is accurate.
Occasionally information may contain errors or omissions relating to matters including product descriptions, availability, pricing, promotions, shipping charges or estimated delivery times.
We reserve the right to correct errors, update information and, where reasonably necessary, cancel affected orders.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.
22. Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform our obligations where this results from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These may include manufacturing disruption, label or supplier delays, industrial action, postal or transportation disruption, severe weather, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, infrastructure failures and similar events.
Where a significant delay occurs, we will take reasonable steps to minimise its effect and your applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.
23. Our Liability
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable consequence of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
Products sold through the Site are intended primarily for domestic and private use.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for business losses arising from a consumer purchase, including loss of profit, revenue, business or business opportunity.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
24. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our Site, products, Services, business practices or applicable law.
The Terms in force when an order is accepted will normally govern that purchase.
26. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
If we delay or fail to exercise a right under these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived that right.
27. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections under the laws applicable to you.
Nothing in these Terms deprives you of consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
