Following the sell-out Blood Records release of their ‘Live At The DW Stadium’ EP earlier this year, Stanleys drop a brand-new four track EP dubbed ‘Look Back’.

Pulling similarities to the likes of The Lathums, the latest cut explores the idea of leaving your hometown for the bigger world, realising your dreams and putting the regrets behind you, rather than remembering them.

With Tom Concannon’s vocals flowing across a melody similar to that of The LA’s, the single, produced by Gareth Nuttall (The Lottery Winners, A.V. Club) hints at escapism, but not forgetting the heaps of inspiration coming from their home county.

With almost 200,000 streams across two singles on Spotify, the quartet are quickly becoming a top pick for those discovering their past releases, with Look Back expected to only cement the idea they are Wigan’s next big export.

Take the unforgettable chorus of instantly memorable lyrics moulded around a song reminiscent of a road trip, and you have a winning combination of the dark emotion leading your hometown can bring, juxtaposed by the freeing feeling of witnessing the bigger world around you.

Taking choice slots at this year’s Liverpool Sound City and Kendal Calling, Stanleys will also be appearing as supports for The Lathums and The Lottery Winners before heading out on their debut headline tour this December.

This Blood Records release comes on blue wax, signed by the band and hand-numbered on a first-come-first-served basis. Please note that Blood Records is a pre-ordering platform and this record is due for release on 15th October 2021. All images for illustrative purposes.
