ABOUT

Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum rock band Kings of Leon are back with their 9th studio album, Can We Please Have Fun, pressed to zoetrope picture disc, limited to 8,000 copies and hand-numbered to order.

As the title suggests, it’s a document of one of this era’s great rock & roll bands cutting loose, trying new things, and, yes, having some fun. Recorded at Dark Horse studio and produced with new collaborator Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Florence and the Machine) the album sees a new side of Kings of Leon.

On the new album, the band harkens back to their gritty origins while simultaneously finding new gears. It’s the sound of a band unified in vision and purpose, freed from any expectations, and the album the band says they’ve always wanted to make.

** Images and videos are representative of the finished product. Zoetrope animations require specific viewing conditions, and the animated effects shown in videos may not be visible to the naked eye. Please refer to the viewing tips below for guidance.

——————————————————————-

How To View: To get the most out of your zoetrope and see the animated effects, try one of the methods below.

For the clearest results, use bright, even lighting and keep your camera steady above the record. If using strobe effects, please be mindful of anyone nearby who may be sensitive to flashing lights.

  • View or record the animation through your phone camera, with the frame rate set to 30 or 60 FPS.
  • Use a zoetrope or strobe-light app.
  • Use an adjustable LED strobe light to view the animation with the naked eye.

——————————————————————-

Please note: Due to the way picture discs (including zoetropes) are manufactured, they can produce slightly more surface noise during playback than traditional vinyl, particularly during quieter moments. This is a well-known characteristic of the format and isn't unique to our pressings.
