ABOUT

One of the most successful British bands of the last 3 decades, Blur, are back with a brand new studio album, ‘The Ballad of Darren’, exclusively pressed to animated zoetrope picture disc, limited to 10,000 copies and hand-numbered to order.

The album, produced by James Ford , was recorded in Studio 13, London and Devon, and is the sound of a band at the very top of their game. It’s the band’s ninth studio album, their first since the chart-topping The Magic Whip in 2015, with artwork featuring an image by British photographer Martin Parr.

——————————————————————-

To get the most out of zoetropes and view the animated effects, we recommend trying one of the following methods:

View or film it through a phone camera with the frame rate set to 30 or 60 fps.
Use a zoetrope or strobe-light app.
Use an adjustable LED strobe light to view it with the naked eye.

For the clearest results, use bright, even lighting and hold your camera steady above the record. If using strobe effects, please be mindful of anyone nearby who may be sensitive to flashing light.
