Info
The K’s debut album comes exclusively pressed to glow in the dark vinyl, limited to 500 copies and hand-numbered to order. If you haven’t encountered The K’s impassioned bangers, catch up. In the last 12 months alone, they’ve sold out a UK tour, including every ticket for their recent Manchester Academy show in under 24 hours. They opened the main stages at Isle of Wight and Neighbourhood Festivals, as well as gracing the main stages at Leeds, Reading & Kendal Calling, and tore the roof down at this year's Tramlines, with hundreds unable to get into the big top to see them play. They’ve supported Liam Gallagher, James and Blondie, their streams are also getting comfortably in the millions…not bad for a band from Warrington.
Their gigs are a guaranteed riot, with the recent 13 date sellout UK & Ireland tour leading them to being asked to put in a Royal Albert Hall appearance with Kasabian on their day off. This pulsing live reputation shouldn’t overlook the sophistication that gives The K’s their immediately identifiable blueprint though. Their debut single “Sarajevo” was one of the few rock & roll songs to namecheck Austro-Hungary, whilst notching up over 5 million streams in the process, their single ‘Hoping Maybe’ became a phone-lights-on live anthem that reached number 2 on the iTunes chart, kept off the top spot only by Miley Cyrus.
So where next? After performing as main support on the recent tour for the number 1 album success story that is The Reytons and taking in arenas, warehouses and Academy venues, the The K's played 4 sold out headline dates to see out 2023. The band have recently released the single 'Heart on my sleeve' from their upcoming debut album which will be released in early 2024 on thriving Manchester indie LAB Records.
With each new release, The K’s will just keep growing. A cult sensation, an irresistible, irrefutable spirit, welcoming to anyone who wants to join and escape into a better, more hopeful world.
