Shipping & Returns
[Last updated: 24 August 2026]
This Shipping & Returns Policy explains how orders placed with Blood Records Limited are fulfilled, delivered, cancelled, returned, replaced and refunded.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
1. Fulfilment
Orders placed through Blood Records are fulfilled on our behalf by a specialist third-party fulfilment provider from its UK fulfilment centre.
We remain responsible for your order and your contract remains with Blood Records Limited.
Please contact Blood Records directly regarding any questions or issues relating to your order. When contacting us about an existing order, please include your order number and, wherever possible, contact us using the same email address used to place the order. This helps us locate your order and verify your request.
2. Processing Times
Orders for products that are in stock are normally processed for dispatch as soon as reasonably possible.
During particularly busy periods, including major product drops, releases, public holidays and periods of unusually high demand, processing may take longer.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will normally receive a shipping confirmation email containing tracking information where tracking is available.
3. Pre-Orders
Many Blood Records vinyl releases are sold on a pre-order basis before the finished product has been manufactured or received into our fulfilment centre.
Estimated release and dispatch dates shown on product pages are estimates only and may change as a result of manufacturing, artist or label scheduling, logistics or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If the expected release or dispatch date changes materially, we will endeavour to update the relevant product information and/or contact affected customers where appropriate.
Unless otherwise stated, an order containing pre-order products will normally be dispatched once all products within that shipment are available.
4. UK Shipping
UK orders are normally sent using a tracked delivery service.
Available shipping services and the applicable charge will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.
Delivery estimates begin from dispatch rather than the date on which an order is placed.
Where Royal Mail Tracked 48 is selected or provided, this is an estimated delivery service and does not guarantee delivery within 48 hours.
5. International Shipping
We ship to a range of international destinations.
Available delivery services, estimated delivery times and shipping charges will be displayed at checkout where available.
International delivery estimates are not guaranteed. Customs processing, local postal services and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect delivery times.
6. Customs, Duties and Import Taxes
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, handling charges or other fees imposed by the destination country.
Where these charges have not been collected by us at checkout, they are normally the responsibility of the recipient.
Blood Records does not control charges imposed by local customs authorities and cannot guarantee their amount.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products they order can lawfully be imported into their destination country.
7. Tracking
Where tracking is available, tracking information will normally be provided by email once your order has been dispatched.
Tracking information may take some time to update after a shipment has been handed to the carrier.
8. Delayed Orders
Delivery dates and timeframes provided by us or a carrier are estimates unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
Occasionally, deliveries may take longer than expected due to carrier delays, particularly during busy periods.
For UK orders, please allow up to 10 working days from the expected delivery date before contacting us about an order that has not arrived.
For international orders, please allow up to 20 working days from the expected delivery date, as customs processing and local postal services can sometimes cause additional delays.
If your order has still not arrived after this time, please contact us and we will investigate the shipment with the relevant carrier.
You do not need to wait this period if tracking shows that the parcel has been returned to sender, delivered to an incorrect location, damaged in transit, or there is another clear problem requiring our attention.
9. Lost Orders
If your order has not arrived after the timeframe set out above, please contact us.
We may need to investigate the shipment with the relevant carrier before determining that it has been lost.
Where an order is confirmed as lost, we will provide an appropriate remedy. Depending on availability and the circumstances, this may include a replacement or refund.
Because many Blood Records vinyl releases are limited editions, an identical replacement may not always be available. Where replacement stock is unavailable, we will provide an appropriate alternative remedy, which may include a refund.
10. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information when placing an order.
If you notice an error in your delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible. For security reasons, requests to change the delivery address must include your order number and be made using the same email address used to place the order. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has entered fulfilment or been dispatched.
Where an order cannot be delivered because incorrect or incomplete delivery information was supplied, additional delivery costs may apply if the order is returned to us and needs to be sent again.
11. Failed or Refused Deliveries
If a delivery is refused, not collected, or cannot be completed and is subsequently returned to us, please contact us.
Where appropriate, we may arrange redelivery or issue a refund once the returned goods have been received and processed.
Additional delivery charges may apply where the failed delivery resulted from circumstances for which the customer was responsible.
Returns & Cancellations
12. Returns
We want you to be happy with your order.
Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out below, eligible products purchased online may be returned where you exercise an applicable statutory cancellation or withdrawal right within the relevant period.
Products should be returned in their original condition, together with any included components, packaging or accessories where reasonably possible.
Please contact us before returning an item so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.
13. Change-of-Mind Returns
If you decide that you no longer want an eligible product, please contact us within 14 days after the day on which you receive it.
Unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or applicable law requires otherwise, you are responsible for the cost of returning a change-of-mind return.
Products should be returned unused and in their original condition, subject to your right to handle the product only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
Clothing and other wearable merchandise may be tried on to establish fit in the same way that you would reasonably do in a shop, but should not be worn beyond this, washed, altered or damaged.
Where applicable, original tags should remain attached.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory cancellation, withdrawal or other consumer rights you may have.
14. Cancelling / Amending an Order Before Dispatch
If you wish to cancel or amend an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible.
For security reasons, cancellation and amendment requests must include your order number and be made using the same email address used to place the order. This allows us to verify the request before making changes to your order.
Amendments may include changes such as updating the delivery address, removing an item or making another reasonable change to an existing order. We cannot guarantee that all amendments will be possible.
For pre-orders, we recommend submitting cancellation or amendment requests at least 5 working days before the expected shipping date. This gives us the best opportunity to make the requested change before your order enters our fulfilment process.
As we process large volumes of orders around product releases, orders may enter fulfilment several days before they are physically dispatched. Once an order has entered the fulfilment process, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel or amend it before dispatch.
Where we are able to cancel an order before dispatch, any payment taken for the cancelled order will be refunded to your original payment method.
Where we are able to amend an order, any additional payment or refund required as a result of the amendment will be processed as appropriate.
If we are unable to stop or amend your order before dispatch, this does not affect any statutory cancellation or return rights you may have, including those described below.
15. UK Right to Cancel
If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you will generally have the right to cancel your contract without giving a reason within 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
To exercise this right, you must clearly tell us that you wish to cancel within the cancellation period.
You may use the Model Cancellation Form at the end of this policy, but you are not required to do so.
16. EU/EEA Right to Withdraw
Consumers in the European Union and European Economic Area may also have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of receiving their goods, subject to applicable local law and exceptions.
You must notify us of your decision to withdraw within the applicable withdrawal period.
The Model Cancellation Form at the end of this policy may be used for this purpose but is not mandatory.
Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict mandatory consumer rights available to you in the country in which you live.
17. Returning Products Following Cancellation or Withdrawal
Where you exercise a statutory right to cancel or withdraw, you must normally return the goods within 14 days after notifying us of your decision.
Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or applicable law requires otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning them.
We recommend using an appropriate tracked or otherwise evidenced postal service when returning goods.
18. Sealed Vinyl Records
Certain sealed vinyl records are exempt from statutory change-of-mind cancellation or withdrawal rights once their seal has been broken.
Where a sealed vinyl record constitutes a sealed audio recording for the purposes of applicable consumer law, the statutory change-of-mind right to cancel may cease once the product has been unsealed after delivery.
This exception does not affect your rights where a product is faulty, damaged, defective or not as described.
19. Merchandise
Merchandise, including clothing and accessories, may be returned in accordance with our returns policy provided it is returned in its original condition.
You may inspect or try on clothing to establish its nature, characteristics and fit, but returned merchandise should not have been worn beyond what is reasonably necessary for this purpose and should not have been washed, altered or damaged.
Where applicable, original tags and packaging should be retained.
Problems With Your Order
20. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Products
If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can help resolve the issue.
Where possible, please contact us using the same email address used to place the order and provide:
-
your order number;
-
a description of the problem; and
-
clear photographs showing the issue and, where relevant, the product, packaging and shipping packaging.
We may also ask for a short video where this would reasonably help us assess a fault, such as an issue affecting vinyl playback.
Please note that vinyl records and certain specialist sleeves and packaging are produced using physical manufacturing processes that can result in natural variations between individual copies. Minor variations inherent in these manufacturing processes — including variations in colour, pattern, positioning, texture or special-effect finishes — will not normally be considered faults or defects where they do not materially affect the product's appearance, functionality or vinyl playback.
Further information about these variations can be found in the Vinyl Manufacturing Variations section of our Terms & Conditions.
Depending on the nature of the problem, available stock and your applicable consumer rights, the resolution may include a replacement component, partial refund, complete replacement or refund.
If you wish to exercise the UK short-term right to reject faulty goods, this will generally need to be done within 30 days of receiving the goods. Other statutory remedies may continue to apply after this period.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged, defective or misdescribed goods.
21. Replacement Parts and Components
Where a problem is limited to a particular component of a product, we may offer to replace that component rather than replacing the complete product, where this is an appropriate resolution.
For example, where a vinyl record itself is unaffected but its sleeve has been damaged, we may be able to provide a replacement sleeve where one is available.
Because many Blood Records vinyl releases are manufactured as limited editions, spare sleeves, discs, packaging and other individual components may not always be available.
Where a suitable replacement component is available and you agree that this resolves the reported problem, we may send that component without requiring the complete product to be returned.
22. Partial Refunds
Where an item has minor or cosmetic damage but remains otherwise usable — for example, damage to a record sleeve, outer packaging or another component while the vinyl itself is unaffected — we may offer a partial refund as an alternative resolution.
A partial refund may be particularly appropriate where replacing an entire limited-edition product would be disproportionate to the nature of the damage, or where an individual replacement sleeve or component is unavailable.
The amount offered will take into account the nature and extent of the damage.
Any partial refund will be offered as an optional resolution and agreed with you before it is processed. You are not required to accept a partial refund where you are entitled to another remedy under applicable consumer law.
Where you accept a partial refund specifically to resolve reported damage or a fault, the partial refund will normally resolve that particular reported issue.
A partial refund does not affect your rights in relation to any separate fault or problem that subsequently becomes apparent.
23. Replacement Products
Where a replacement is appropriate and replacement stock is available, we may arrange for a replacement product to be sent to you.
We may require the original product to be returned before or after a replacement is provided.
Because many Blood Records vinyl releases are strictly limited editions, an identical replacement cannot always be guaranteed.
If the original product is no longer available, we will discuss the available resolution with you. Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, this may include a partial refund where you wish to keep the affected product or a refund.
24. Return Shipping Costs
Where a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise needs to be returned because of an error for which we are responsible, we will cover reasonable return postage costs or provide an appropriate prepaid return method.
Where available, we may provide a prepaid tracked returns label or returns portal for this purpose.
For eligible change-of-mind returns, customers are normally responsible for return postage costs unless applicable law or this policy provides otherwise.
Please do not return an item using an unusually expensive delivery service without contacting us first, as we may not be able to reimburse unreasonable additional postage costs.
Refunds
25. Refunds
Once a returned product has been received and, where necessary, inspected, we will process any refund due as soon as reasonably possible.
Refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.
Where you exercise a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right, we will refund amounts due within the time required by applicable law. We may be entitled to withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you provide evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first.
Where required by law, the refund will include the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the original order. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, the additional cost of that service is not normally refundable.
26. Deductions From Refunds
We do not charge a blanket restocking fee simply because a customer exercises a statutory right to cancel or withdraw.
Where permitted by applicable law, however, we may make an appropriate deduction from a refund if the value of returned goods has been reduced because they have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Any deduction will be reasonable, proportionate and made only where legally permitted.
